Hey there, I'm Jacksion Yang, the founder of EGROWTHIFY NEXUS.

Ever since my 20’s (I’m in my 40’s now), my goal has always been to own an online business so that I can make money while I sleep (yes, I live to tell you now that it is possible! lol).

My first attempt in achieving my goal: options trading.

I thought it was going to be my gateway to eternal wealth because all I needed to do was just to study the candlestick charts, log into the trading software and execute my trades with a few clicks, call or put (options trading stuff), and collect my profits the next day.

I was so WRONG!

I lost more than RM30,000 (about US$6,844.63) in this episode of my life and half of the money was borrowed from my mom (her hard-earned money!). I was in my mid 20’s.

I realized that "investing" (the correct word is trading!) in stock options, I have no control over what happened, regardless of what they "teach" about chart analysis (Warren Buffett would be laughing so hard)!

To earn some income, I got myself a job as a toiletware salesman where I had to fix toilets more than making sales. I resigned and went on to run a series of small businesses (more details in Chapter 2, page 28).

With some savings, I explored the online world again.

I knew I would make it if I tried hard enough.

I learned about affiliate marketing. I started to make some money online, sometimes up to 5 figures USD monthly! But I would always be at the mercy of the product owners. This resulted in unstable income as explained in in page 33.

I kept exploring. I knew my breakthrough was just around the corner.

In the year 2016 I stumbled upon ecommerce.

What I like about ecommerce is the overall fundamental; the business logic is there.

“This will work!” I secretly convinced myself.

With ecommerce, I am more in control compared to my previous online “ventures” like options trading and affiliate marketing, which put me in a “gambling mindset”.

True enough, ecommerce turned out to be the biggest breakthrough of my life!

Fast forward today, my online business expansion continues, with 6 Shopify stores selling products worldwide.

And, along with my amazing team, we've successfully launched a direct-to-consumer (DTC) wellness supplement brand, NOURRI!

My online business journey has been nothing short of euphoric!
